New bar + grill coming to Athens

Athens is becoming a destination for new places to eat these days, as another announcement of a new restaurant in the downtown area was made this week.

FINS UP Bar & Grill will open soon on Green Street in Athens. Here’s more info:

FINS UP Bar + Grill in Athens

FINS UP is a “Margaritaville themed” bar and grill (hence the reference to the Jimmy Buffet song “Fins”).

The new restaurant will serve fresh seafood and coastal favorites, with a fun and entertaining atmosphere built right in.

The address of the new eatery is 110 W Green St, Athens, AL 35611. An exact opening date has not been announced, but the restaurant is currently hiring for multiple positions.

Texas Roadhouse and 7 Brew Drive-Thru Coffee, U.S. 72 at the former Haney Equipment site
Five Guys and Nothing Bundt Cakes, Kelli Drive adjacent to TJ Maxx
Athens Alehouse and Cellar, new Marion Street location on The Square
Ro’s Grille, Jefferson Street on The Square
