The City of Huntsville has advanced plans to replace the current bridge crossing over Aldridge Creek with a new one. This will provide relief to neighborhoods on Ditto Marina Parkway, as the current bridge can not adequately accommodate truck traffic.

Preliminary plans call for the new bridge to be constructed near the Alridge Creek Greenway, and will cover roughly 3,000 feet of improvements along the road.

The city reached a contract with AECOM Technical Services, and planning is expected to finish in late 2027 with construction beginning shortly after.
