New chrome art installation brings color to Downtown Huntsville

Has this chrome reflection caught your eye in downtown, yet? Check out Huntsville’s newest space-inspired public art piece that appeared recently in front of the new Trilogy Hotel.

While a name for the public art piece hasn’t been announced, here is what we know:
- Commissioner: The art piece was installed by Trilogy Hotel, a Marriott hotel curating an “experience inspired by science, art + progress.”
- Fun fact: This is the second Trilogy Hotel location in Alabama, with the first in Montgomery.
- Artist: The creative behind it is Nicola De Pellegrini, an Italian artist + architect.
- He has completed projects for major international brands across the U.S., Europe + Middle Eastern countries.
- Material: The sculpture is made of rounded iridescent chrome.
- Features: The installation includes a sculpture of four stacked planets and two bubble benches that overlook Big Spring Park.
- What’s nearby: You can find it outside next to Trilogy’s now-open Starbucks, and at the entrance of its coming-soon restaurant, “Harvest Moon.”
