Looking for a place to stay when you’re in Decatur? A new Hampton Inn & Suites is coming to town. Read on to learn about this hotel and others being constructed in the city.
New hotels are being built in Decatur
It seems like Decatur is the place to be. According to The Decatur Daily, the city’s Technical Review Committee voted to recommend site-plan approval for a Hampton Inn & Suites—this will be the second one in town.
Plus, a Fairfield Inn by Marriott is currently being constructed in downtown Decatur.
“There seems to be plenty of need for more hotel rooms. We need the hotel rooms to provide space for all of the softball, soccer and archery tournaments that are coming to Decatur.”

Where will the Hampton Inn & Suites be?
This new hotel will be near Logan’s Restaurant and Redstone Federal Credit Union on 2.84 acres.
As a four-story, 112-room hotel, there will also be a pool and fitness and meeting rooms. This new Hampton Inn & Suites is scheduled to be ready for business in the fall of 2023.
