With countless new businesses and restaurants opening in Huntsville each week, excitement for one new opening rises above all: “When is Del Taco opening?!”

We have your answer: Del Taco is opening NEXT THURSDAY, February 20th. This news is long awaited—we originally heard word of the chain coming to North Alabama back in 2022.

Huntsville, get your tacos on Thursday, Feb. 20

North Alabama’s first Del Taco is set to open on Cabela Drive in the Research Park area.

Del Taco’s beloved “Better Mex” menu features tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas and more. You may be surprised to spot burgers, fries and shakes on the menu, too!

When: Grand Opening at 10AM on Thursday, Feb. 20
Hours: Monday-Thursday 10AM-10PM, Friday-Saturday 10AM-11PM, Sunday 10AM-10PM

Other locations in AL

Currently, the only locations in Alabama to get your Del Taco fix are in Phenix City and Opelika. Thankfully, the drive will be much shorter starting next week.

With locations in only 18 states, it’s no wonder this opening has been highly-anticipated.
