NEW: It’s going to be a cold weekend in Huntsville

A line of cold rain showers will move into North Alabama this weekend, causing a big drop in temperatures. While this week had highs in the 60s, the weekend low temperature will likely hit the mid 20s.

How cold will it be this weekend?

Here’s the forecast the National Weather Service predicts this weekend:

• Friday night: Lows around 32, 100% chance of precipitation, wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour.
• Saturday: Cloudy with highs near 42. Expect winds from 10-20 mph.
• Saturday night: Low near 24 and windy.
• Sunday: Sunny with high temperatures near 50.
• Sunday night: clear skies with lows around 27.
