More on the new LDS Temple

The Huntsville Alabama Temple will be built on a site of approximately 21 acres located at the southeast corner of Gillespie and Browns Ferry Roads in Madison.
The Temple will be a single-story building of approximately 30,000 square feet, and an official groundbreaking has not been announced yet.
According to the LDS Church, more than 40,000 LDS members live in Alabama comprising about 75 congregations, which necessitated building the Huntsville Alabama Temple as the area has continued to grow.
“There is a power that comes with the temple, and I’m glad for the city of Huntsville and northern Alabama to be blessed by it.”
President Jeffrey Cazier of the Huntsville Alabama Stake
This is one of 17 new temple locations planned nationwide, and the first to have a site plan announced.
