New Madison Costco now open for business

The wait is over for folks anticipating the opening of the second Costco location in Madison County. The wholesaler opened its store at Clift Farm in Madison over the weekend, to significant fanfare.
Here’s what to know:
New Costco opens in Madison
Those of you who are already familiar with Costco already know what the store includes, but to those who don’t, we have a few details on the Madison location.
The address is 8094 Hwy 72 W, Madison, AL 35758 and includes:
- Pharmacy
- Eye care
- Tire service center
- Gas station
The entire project, at around $20 million, is one of the most expensive construction projects in the county this year.
The 2nd location in the Huntsville metro
The Clift Farm location is the fifth Costco in the state, and the second in the Huntsville metro. This is significant because that makes Huntsville the only metro in Alabama with two stores (the first one in the area is at 1205 N Memorial Pkwy, Huntsville, AL 35816).
Other locations in Alabama are in the Montgomery, Birmingham and Mobile metro areas.
