This week’s weather has been crazy cold and caused record breaking demand for power.

A mix of rain and freezing rain are expected Thursday afternoon into the evening. Lows under freezing will cause new ice to accumulate on the roadways.

Friday will have a high temperature of 33 degrees with wind chills between 14 and 21 degrees. Saturday will look similar with a high near 22.

The best chance of ice melting comes on a sunny Sunday when temperatures are expected to reach a high of 38 degrees.
