New Nordstrom Rack store coming to the Rocket City

Seattle-based retailer Nordstrom announced today that it will open its second Nordstrom Rack location in Alabama right here in Huntsville.
The 24,000-square-foot store will be located in University Plaza.

About Nordstrom Rack
The new store, located in the same shopping center as Best Buy on University Drive, is set to open in spring of 2027.
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc. and offers customers up to 70% off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom stores.
Currently, the only other Nordstrom Rack store in Alabama is in Birmingham at The Summit Shopping Center.

This announcement is just the latest in a recent wave of big-name store openings in the Rocket City. In the last year, we have seen announcements and openings for IKEA, L.L. Bean, The LEGO Store, Madewell and Crocs, among others.
