This project started when IMS Development out of Tuscaloosa purchased 130 acres of land in North Huntsville from The University of Alabama in Huntsville Foundation in 2023.

The property, located at the corner of Highway 255, Highway 53 and Blake Bottom Road, provides easy access to downtown Huntsville, the MidCity district and the Village of Providence.

The first phase of the project is called Beacon Place, and features one-story apartment homes with private garages and EV charging stations at every unit.

The new residential offering adds a unique product type to Huntsville’s large rental market, catering to residents who prefer the convenience of single-level living, energy efficiency and modern amenities.

“North Valley reflects the type of thoughtful, well-planned growth our team is committed to facilitating throughout the region.”

Eric St. John, broker at Crunkleton Associates

In addition to residential construction, the broader North Valley development will include commercial outparcels at the intersection of Highway 53 and Blake Bottom Road.
