NEW: opening date for skate park + space playground
A brand new skate park and kid’s space playground will be open to the public next Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 11:30AM! This is an exciting prospect for local skaters and kids looking for a new place to play that perfectly represents Huntsville.
A skate park for anyone + everyone
This new development pays homage to the original Get-A-Way skate park in the Rocket City. It will span 52,000 square feet and include a three-quarter pipe, a street plaza and more.
The renovated Kid’s Space Playground will be divided into three areas of different themes, Early Huntsville, Space Race and Future Exploration, each offering varying ways to play. Several sections of the playground will be well-shaded, so it can be enjoyed in any weather.
