The river cruise has increased in popularity over the years, and have proven to be an effective driver of local economies and tourism. This is why a recent announcement that Decatur Morgan County Tourism has entered into a partnership with American Cruise Lines is so important.

The new partnership with American Cruise Lines aims to make Decatur a river cruise destination.

This partnership will see American Cruise Lines’ luxurious riverboats docking in Decatur and offering visitors a cool travel experience along the Tennessee River. The first cruise ship arrived in Decatur June 6 and kicked off American Cruise Lines’ 14 voyages to Decatur this summer.

By adding Decatur as a docking destination, American Cruise Lines continues to expand its reach and provide its passengers with an extraordinary experience in a captivating Southern setting. 

American Cruise Lines’ arrival in Decatur will not only bring economic benefits to the city, but will also contribute to the growth of tourism in the region. River cruise guests will have the opportunity to explore Decatur’s historic downtown district and experience the city’s local shops and boutiques.
