New veterinary office in Decatur among new $1M+ building permits

Seven new building permits were issued across Alabama this past week for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Of these permits, three were for projects in the Huntsville area.

One of these permits was for a new animal clinic in Decatur, the result of a merger between two established practices in the city.

Decatur Animal Care and Beltline Animal Clinic forming new practice

Two members of Decatur’s veterinary community are joining forces to build a new facility. The new clinic will be located in the lot next to Decatur Animal Care on Danville Road.

A $1.4 million building permit was issued to Arrwell Construction for the project. The new clinic is expected to have five exam rooms and a drive-thru for medication pickup. Additional space will be available for “doggie day care.”

Construction is set for completion in 2027.
