Orion nominated for Amphitheater of the Year award

For the second straight year, Huntsville’s Orion Amphitheater has been nominated for the Amphitheater of the Year award given by International Entertainment Buyers Association.
This is pretty impressive considering that the amphitheater was built last year and therefore has only been eligible for the award for two years. This honor adds to the bevy of accolades the venue has received since opening in May of 2022.
The IEBA Amphitheater of the Year
The IEBA is not-for-profit trade organization for live entertainment industry professionals, and its annual conference is one of the most widely attended and anticipated events in the entertainment industry.
This year’s conference in Nashville Oct. 10-12 will include the announcement of the organization’s award winners. Last year’s Amphitheater of the Year award went to Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado.
Adding to the list of accolades for the Orion
In addition to its success among fans, the venue has been the recipient of multiple awards, including:
- 2022 Partnership in Tourism Award from the Alabama Tourism Department
- Featured in Rolling Stone magazine as an “innovative take on the amphitheater experience”
- Attraction of the Year from the Alabama Mountain Lakes Association
- Nominated for 2022 Amphitheater of the Year by the International Entertainment Buyers Association
- Venue Group CEO Ben Lovett selected as one of VenuesNow’s Top 2022 All-Star Executive Honorees
Check out who is coming to the Orion in the next few months.
