Panoply, beach volleyball highlight list of amazing weekend events

This beautiful spring weather mean we need to get out and have some fun this weekend in the Huntsville area. And luckily for us, there’s plenty to do over the next few days in and around town.
Whatever you’re into, chances are, there’s something you’re going to enjoy among these awesome weekend events:
1. Panoply Arts Festival
One of the most popular arts festivals in the South is back for another year. Head down to Big Spring Park and enjoy all of the art, music, food and more at Panoply.

2. Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Championships
Check out some incredible collegiate beach volleyball here in Huntsville, as the Sun Belt Conference Championships take place Thursday through Saturday at John Hunt Park.

3. ‘Shaping American Art’ exhibit
This is an exhibit that opens this weekend and runs through the rest of the year, and captures the vibrant tapestry of American creativity.

4. Rocket City Trash Pandas vs. Tennessee Smokies
Another one of our fantastic weekend events is a homestand for the Rocket City Trash Pandas at Toyota Field. The Trash Pandas take on the Tennessee Smokies all weekend.

5. 17th Annual Athens Car, Truck + Bike Show
Head down the Square in Athens and check out some amazing classic and vintage vehicles Saturday.

6. Taylor Swift Laser Show at U.S. Space + Rocket Center
If you can’t score tickets to her concert, Laser Taylor Swift is the next best thing. Check out this laser show set to the incredible music of Taylor Swift.

7. UAH Baseball vs. Union
If you are a sports fan, there are some great weekend events here in Huntsville, and the UAH Chargers baseball team is among those awesome events. UAH has a game Friday and a doubleheader Saturday. And admission is free.

8. Old Crow Medicine Show

11. Mullins Bend Community Yard Sale

13. Epic Comedy Hour

14. Weekend Wanderings at Monte Sano
Join Land Trust of North Alabama’s Tim Gels who leads some of the best guided hikes around. This one heads down Alms House Trail, spending some time looking for fossils at the power line cut before making our way down to Fagan Creek.
