About Pride Month
Pride month is recognized in the US every June in remembrance of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City, a major turning point in gay rights and activism and the spark for the gay rights movement.
Pride has expanded in modern years to encompass all things queer as an outlet for expression and acceptance.
If you would like to know how you can support the LGBTQ+ community here in Huntsville you can donate to local organizations like Rocket City Pride and Thrive Alabama.
