Redstone Arsenal to reopen Gate 3 with limited morning hours

Gate 3 at Redstone Arsenal will reopen this Friday, July 10, using limited morning hours. The gate will be open weekdays from 6-9AM, which should help alleviate traffic during those times.
The closure of Gate 3 was originally announced last week, as a direct result of staffing shortages and Redstone Arsenal’s inability to quickly fill the positions.
Gate 3, located on Redstone Road SW, is one of the main entry points into the southern section of Redstone Arsenal. Its closure was clearly a headache to many workers and visitors of Redstone Arsenal, as Gate 3 was closed for only a day (July 6) before authorities decided it needed to be reopened.

Are the other gates of Redstone Arsenal operational?
Officials of the Arsenal have stated that all other gates are fully operational and have had no change to their hours:
- Gate 1 (Martin Road East): Normal operations from 5:30AM-1:30PM Mon-Fri | Outbound only 1:30-9:00PM
- Gate 7 (Martin Road West): Normal operations from 5:30AM-1:30PM Mon-Fri | Outbound only 1:30-9:00PM
- Gate 8 (Goss Road): 5:30AM-9:00PM weekends + holidays only
- Gate 9 (Rideout Road): Open 24/7, 365 days per year
- Gate 10 (Patton Road): 5:30AM-9:00PM Mon-Fri
Officials say that commercial vehicles must use Gate 9 Lane 8 after 1PM Mon-Fri.
