Redwire adding new 164K-square-foot expansion to Huntsville facility

Redwire Corporation announced on July 20, 2026 that the company will expand its Huntsville facility by 164,000 square feet, adding more than 150 new jobs. The facility is located at 170 Jetplex Blvd SW, Huntsville, AL 35824.
The expansion increases the company’s manufacturing and engineering capacity to develop and produce mission-critical technologies for the U.S. Military and its allies.

How much will the Redwire expansion cost + what jobs are coming?

The massive expansion is supported by approximately $8.5 million in eligible state and local economic development incentives.
As far as the 150+ jobs coming to the facility, Redwire company officials said these are new high-skilled jobs spanning engineering, manufacturing, integration and technical operations.

The expanded campus will accelerate Redwire’s production of:
- Combat-proven Stalker UAS
- Octopus gimbal payloads
- Advanced energy solutions
- Space capabilities that support exploration, commerce + national security

Construction has already begun on the expanded campus, with building expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
