Shaquille O’Neal coming to Huntsville—without a basketball in sight

One of basketball’s greatest players is coming to Huntsville this fall. However, he isn’t coming to play basketball. Shaquille O-Neal will be on stage at The Orion Amphitheater as his DJ alter ego, DJ Diesel.

O’neal has performed as DJ Diesel since 2021’s Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, and released his first album under the moniker in 2023.
DJ Diesel is part of a star-studded lineup for the Breakaway Music Festival at The Orion Amphitheater in October.
Headlining the festival along with DJ Diesel will be The Chainsmokers, Kaskade and Slander. In all, more than 20 artists will participate in the festival. Huntsville is one of 12 markets the festival will visit on this year’s tour.
