Music fans in and around the Rocket City have plenty to look forward to over the next several months, as the larger music venues in the city have released their spring and summer concert dates. Between the Orion Amphitheater, Mars Music Hall, Mark C. Smith Concert Hall and other venues in Huntsville, some big names are headed to town.
Here are some of the concerts in Huntsville over the next few months:
Orion Amphitheater

The Orion is just reaching a year old these days and already has played host to legendary artists such as Stevie Nicks, Widespread Panic, Black Crowes and Kenny Chesney among other sold out concerts in Huntsville.
The new venue has turned heads all over the country as the Orion was praised in Rolling Stone magazine last year and artists who have played the new venue have raved about it.
Here are a few of the acts playing the Orion this spring and summer:

- Robert Plant + Alison Krauss: April 30
- Koe Wetzel: May 12
- Kody Jinks: May 19
- Martina McBride: May 30
- Weezer + Modest Mouse: June 4
- James Taylor: June 20
- Phish: July 11-12
- Parker McCollum: July 14
- Widespread Panic: July 28-30
- Jelly Roll: Aug. 1
- Billy Strings: Aug. 25-26
- Doobie Brothers: Aug. 30
Propst Arena

With a capacity for more than 9,000 people, Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center is Huntsville’s largest venue, and some of the biggest concerts in Huntsville have happened here (even five straight performances by Elvis Presley in 1975).
Here’s who is coming to Propst Arena this spring and summer:

Mars Music Hall

The Mars Music Hall in the Von Braun Center is a fantastic place to see live music. Combining great acoustics with a slightly more intimate setting than the neighboring Propst Arena, the Mars Music Hall has hosted a bevy of fabulous acts. Here’s who’s coming to Mars over the next few months:

- Mountain Goats: April 1
- Jessie Murph: April 7
- Pedro the Lion: April 19
