St. Michael's Orthodox Church project among new high-dollar building permits

Of the 13 new building permits issued across the state last week for construction projects exceeding $1 million, two are for projects in Madison.

One of those permits is for a project at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Madison.

New building at St. Michael’s in Madison

St. Michael’s Orthodox Church is building a new facility in Madison, and Huntsville Design & Construction Inc, was issued a $2.4 million building permit for construction of the facility.

The new facility will serve as a multi-purpose building including worship, social and educational spaces. The project includes a temporary chapel, hall, kitchen and classrooms, with a larger church planned later.
