On April 4, downtown Huntsville’s newest elevated cocktail concept, The Dirty Olive, opened its doors to much fanfare and anticipation.

From its elegant interiors to delicious cocktails on tap, this Huntsville newcomer has been a fresh favorite among cocktail enthusiasts. Come along with us to take a look inside.

Cozy + curated design

As a self-proclaimed foodie and cocktail connoisseur, I’ve learned just how much ambiance elevates each forkful of food or sip of a spirit. I’ve often said that atmosphere can take precedence over cuisine, making up 60% of my overall experience at a restaurant or bar.

The Dirty Olive gleams intentionality and sophistication. From vintage prints to warm lighting and lavish seating, this cocktail bar encourages you to stay awhile.

On the far wall, you’ll find intimate seating for your next date night out, and scattered throughout the bar are high-top tables and sizable sofas perfect for large groups.

Any seasoned mixologist knows that cocktails on tap can be a gamble, but The Dirty Olive has mastered the craft. Before opening a brick-and-mortar location, the bar owner Emily Jones perfected her cocktail proportions while operating The Dirty Olive mobile bar.

Here’s what you can find on the Dirty Olive’s menu:

  • 16 unique cocktails on tap, including martinis, mojitos, margaritas and more
  • Craft and light beer
  • Flavorful mocktails
  • International and domestic wines

During the grand opening party, I ordered the mojito and was impressed by the cocktail’s zesty freshness and pleasant balance.
