This delicious new Italian restaurant is coming to downtown Athens

If you love Italian cuisine and live in the Athens area, today is your lucky day. Li’l Mazzara’s Italian Kitchen + Wine will open in Athens on Washington Street this September.
Here’s what we know so far:
Athens joins the Church Street Family lineup
Li’l Mazzara’s is part of the Church Street Family, a Huntsville based restaurant and hospitality group. Church Street family is also scheduled to open a piano bar, The Library, on August 30.
The Church Street Family group operates an Italian restaurant in downtown Huntsville called Mazzara’s Italian Kitchen.
What we know so far about the new Italian restaurant
If Li’l Mazzara’s is anything like Mazzara’s Kitchen, it will feature authentic Italian cuisine in a casual fine dining atmosphere. Here’s where you’ll be able to find it:
- Where: 102 Washington Street E, Athens, AL 35611
- When: Opening Sept. 2023
In the meantime, you can visit Mazzara’s in Huntsville to satiate any Italian cravings you may have.

- When: Mon.-Wed., 4:30PM-10PM; Thurs.-Sat. 11AM-2PM and 4:30PM-10PM.
