UAH baseball coach notches amazing 400th victory

UAH baseball coach Hunter Royal is already the winningest coach in the program’s history, but this past weekend he reached a huge milestone in his career, getting his 400th victory as a head coach.
The Chargers swept Truman State this past weekend, with a 14-4 win Sunday that gave Royer his 400th win.

Royer became the all-time winningest coach in program history on March 1, 2019 at Christian Brothers with his record 277th victory, and he notched his 300th career win on Feb. 22, 2020 against Union.
Some of Royer’s accomplishments in his UAH career:
- NCAA South Regional in 2012, 2014 and 2021
- GSC Tournament Championship in 2014
- Appearances in the GSC Tournament Championship game in the 2012 and 2016 campaigns
- Coached two MLB Amateur Draft selections, six All-Americans, two GSC Players of the Year, one ABCA, D2CCA and NCBWA South Region Player of the Year, two GSC Freshmen of the Year, and 46 All-GSC honorees
UAH baseball in 2024
The sweep of Truman State this weekend brought the Chargers’ record this season to 11-4. The team hits the road for a Feb. 27 against Tuskegee, three games in Pensacola against West Florida March 1-2 and a game against Trevecca Nazerene in Nashville March 5.
The Chargers return home March 8 for a 3-game series against Delta State. All home games are free to attend.
