The unemployment rate in Alabama increased slightly from 2.7% in March to 2.8% in April. However, the state rate remains well below the national rate of 4.3%.
Huntsville’s unemployment rate for April was among the lowest in Alabama, sitting at 2.1%. Huntsville’s neighboring cities also posted low unemployment rates in April.
