Unofficial results for municipal election released — check them out now!

Earlier today, the City of Huntsville released the unofficial results from the municipal election that occurred on Tuesday, August 25. This decided the City Council races in districts 2, 3 and 4 — as well as the Huntsville City Schools Board of Education races in Districts 2 and 3.
Here are the results:
- City Council District Two
- David Little – 3,089 (65.85%)
- Thomas Casez – 1,602 (34.15%)
- Board of Education District Two
- Holly McCarty – 3,008 (64.86%)
- Matt Woolsey – 1,630 (35.14%)
- City Council District Three
- Jennie Robinson – 2,777 (47.95%)
- Liliana Peinder – 1,773 (30.61%)
- John Stuart – 1,242 (21.44%)
- Board of Education District Three
- Payten Redfern – 3,413 (60.25%)
- Robert “Coach P” Person – 2,252 (39.75%)
- City Council District Four
- Bill Kling – 1,616 (66.58%)
- Will Pylant – 610 (25.13%)
- Nick Frevold – 201 (8.28%)
In total, 12,989 unofficial votes were counted, which comes out to a 12.67% voter turnout rate. Also, Ryan Renaud was unopposed in the District Four election for Board of Education, and was declared the winner by the City Council back in July.
Since no individual candidate received 50% of the vote in the race for City Council District Three, a runoff will take place between Jennie Robinson and Liliana Peinder on September 22.
