If you missed the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile last time it was in Huntsville, then you’re in luck. The frankfurter on wheels is returning to North Alabama this weekend, and it will make various appearances in Huntsville, Madison and Athens. Here’s everything you need to know about the famous hotdog automobile.
Where you can see the Wienermobile this weekend + how to win a free ride
If you’re on the road this weekend, you might catch the Wienermobile rolling to several destinations across North Alabama. Here’s the complete list of when and where it will be:
- Thurs., Oct. 26 – Athens, Alabama at Stebbins Family Farm from 3PM-6PM
- Fri., Oct. 27 – Huntsville, Alabama at Allied Digital Printing Customer Appreciation Event from 9AM-11AM
- Fri., Oct. 27 – Lacey Spring, Alabama at Piper and Leaf Farmers Market from 4PM-6PM
- Sat., Oct. 28 – Huntsville, Alabama at the Spooktacular 5K and Monster Mile from 8AM-9PM
- Sat., Oct. 28 – Madison, Alabama at the Fall Festival at Toyota Field from 5PM-9PM
- Sun., Oct. 29 – Huntsville, Alabama at the Halloweenie Brunch from 11AM-1PM
- Mon., Oct. 30 – Huntsville, Alabama at the Scarecrow Trail Festival from 9AM-12PM
How to win a free ride on the Wienermobile
Eager to ride in the Wienermobile? Visit the Huntsville Visitors Center to pick up an event map. Attend three events from the list above and have hotdoggers (the Wienermobile’s pilots) autograph your map each time. Turn it back in to the Huntsville Visitors Center by Mon., Oct. 30 at 3PM to be entered in a raffle to win a ride on the Wienermobile that evening.

Last time the wienermobile visited Huntsville, it stopped at two Krogers in the area. The Wienermobile first hit the road in 1936 and has since evolved into several iterations. Spevco of Winston-Salem, N.C., custom manufactures the 27 foot long vehicles.
