What are “Backrooms”?

These are quintessential Backrooms images. (Bob Magritz)

The Backrooms are more of a feeling than a true place.

The term came from late 2010’s Internet culture, and typically accompanies an image of a yellow wallpapered room, with flourescent lights and hallways that are seemingly endless and labyrinthine. Think of an office building but much, much weirder.
