As the year comes to a close in a few weeks, we are still adding several new businesses to the community (stay tuned this week for a more comprehensive look at what has opened and closed in 2024).

1. Alabama Credit Union
Alabama Credit Union already has branches in the Huntsville area, but its latest branch just celebrated its opening in November on Airport Road.

2. PJ’s Coffee
PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans has become pretty popular among the Huntsville crowd after arriving in the area last year. The coffee chain opened a new location last week at Chase Creek.

3. Nitro Tales
Nitro Tales, described as a “caffeine and cocktail bar” officially opened Dec. 7 in the Town of Providence. This new bar and restaurant has a unique vibe and cool menu.

4. Stoney River Steakhouse
Nashville-based restaurant chain Stoney River Steakhouse will open a new location in Madison in 2025. The steakhouse concept, owned by J Alexander’s, will be the chain’s 14th restaurant nationally, and the first location in Alabama.

5. Chick-fil-A – Town Madison
This new CFA location will bring approximately 100 new jobs to the area, in addition to bringing the restaurant’s popular menu items closer to the residents of Town Madison.

6. Beer Hog
If you enjoy craft beer, you will love hearing that The Beer Hog is now open in Madison. This is a craft beer bar (also serving spirits) that already has become immensely popular in the Birmingham area.

7. Whit’s Frozen Custard
Whit’s Frozen Custard has locations in 8 different states, with the new Huntsville location at the Village of Providence being the second in Alabama. Frozen treats and a cool menu make this a must-visit for ice cream fans.

8. Chow Won Seafood + Steakhouse
Chow Won will serve authentic Korean barbecue, seafood and steak, similar to other locations in the same group of restaurants in Florida and Georgia—Chow One and Chow Won.
