What’s closed on Good Friday + Easter in the Rocket City
This weekend includes Good Friday and Easter Sunday, which means some local businesses and organizations will be closed on either or both of those days.
Here’s a guide to what’s open and closed on Good Friday and Easter this year in the Huntsville area:
Good Friday
Since Good Friday is not a federal holiday and most people are scheduled to work regular hours on that day, most of your businesses around town will be open. However, there are a handful of services and businesses that will be closed this Friday.
Here’s the status of some our local services:
- City of Huntsville municipal offices are closed
- Huntsville Parks & Recreation is closed
- Huntsville Animal Services closed
- Huntsville/Madison County Public Libraries are open
- City of Madison offices are open
- Federal courts are open
- Banks are open
- Public schools are open
