What’s open + what’s closed in the Rocket City Christmas 2023

Christmas is just a few days away, and while we know that most of the city, county and state services will not be open for the day, there are also a ton of stores and restaurants that are closed as well.

So, if you need to get out on Christmas Day for something, be sure you know what’s open and what’s closed:

Christmas Eve + Christmas Day 2023

City, county, state and federal government offices will be closed Dec. 25, and trash pickup will be delayed by a day in Huntsville. Most locally owned shops will be open Christmas Even but will be closed Christmas Day.

Otherwise, if you are getting in some last minute shopping or need an ingredient for a Christmas recipe, here’s what’s open and closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:

• Costco: open Dec. 24 (hours vary by location), closed Dec. 25
• CVS: open regular hours Dec. 24, open limited hours Dec. 25
• Dick’s Sporting Goods: open Dec. 24 (10AM to 6PM), closed Dec. 25
