Where some of Huntsville’s apartment projects stand right now

The number of new apartments complexes breaking ground, currently leasing and quickly filling to capacity in the Huntsville area is astounding these days, and there are more in the planning stages as we speak.

So when are these apartment projects opening up? Here’s what we know about some of these apartment complex projects:

The Arcadia

The Arcadia will be located on one of the busiest corners in the city and will be right across the street from the new Alabama School of Cyber Technology. Floors 2-5 of the building will contain 231 residential units, while the first floor will offer:

  • 17,350 square-feet of commercial ground floor space.
  • 11,575 square-feet of co-working/office space and retail space.
  • 5,775 square-feet of restaurant/retail space.

Nexus on Holmes

This new 4-story 249-unit, 239,000 SF student housing community is envisioned to house upper-division undergraduate and graduate students, university faculty and staff and others, in a mix of 4BR / 4 BA, 2BR / 2BA and 1 BR furnished apartments.

The Gallery at Lowe Mill

The Gallery will be a multifamily development located next to Lowe Mill—the popular arts and entertainment facility near downtown Huntsville. This development is a mixture of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, plus retail space on the first floor. Leasing is already underway for these apartments.

Bartley Lofts

The Bartley Lofts, which have been under construction since August, will include 273 residential apartments, retail space and a six-level parking deck. This is one of the most highly anticipated downtown projects.

Stadium Commons

Stadium Commons is the first phase of a future mixed-use development that features retail and food & beverage, and is part of a larger development that includes multi-family and an on-site hotel. Approximately 200 residential units are planned for the development.
