Where to find cheap gas in Huntsville as fuel prices in Alabama slowly decrease

The surge in gas prices over the last several months has naturally been a source of stress for motorists all over the country, but in Alabama, where the average price for a gallon of gas has soared above $4, finding cheap gas has never been more important to consumers.

Gas prices still averaging more than $4 per gallon in Madison County

Gas prices are slowly decreasing nationwide, as AAA reported today that the national average fell to $4.237 per gallon. In Alabama, the average is $4.026 per gallon, which is still a steep cost for filling up your car.

Madison County, luckily, is among the counties with some of the lowest gas prices in the state, although most consumers would not consider the county’s average of $4.010 “low” by any means. That said, Madison is not among the 10 counties with the lowest average gas prices.

The counties in Alabama with the lowest average gas prices, according to AAA:

Cherokee County: $3,875 per gallon
Covington County: $3.880 per gallon
Marshall County: $3.949 per gallon
Macon County: $3.950 per gallon
Fayette County: $3.958 per gallon
St. Clair County: $3.968 per gallon
Franklin County: $3.967 per gallon
DeKalb County: $3.969 per gallon
Lauderdale County: $3.978 per gallon
Etowah County: $3.981 per gallon
