What will ALDOT study regarding the bridge traffic?

Funds for the study will come from ALDOT ($7.4 million) and federal funds totaling $3 million. Among the possible solutions the study will cover include perhaps expanding Highway 20 to six lanes and building an overpass at Highway 31.
The study is part of Decatur’s broader Metropolitan Planning Organization plan, which is currently in its review period through August 7.
