For friends and family visiting Huntsville during the holidays, there are so many unique things to do in the Rocket City. Sometimes, site seeing can make you hungry so we’ve complied five of our favorite restaurants in the Huntsville area where you can take your family and friends.

1. The Standard Social Market

The Standard Social Market is a fabulous place to grab breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. We even featured it in our “Best Huntsville Eats of October” guide. Check out this yummy spot if everyone in your party wants a little something different–the menu is full of delicious options.

2. The Poppy and Parliament

If you’re looking to treat your guests to something upscale, you can’t go wrong with The Poppy and Parliament. This restaurant fuses British fare and Southern cuisine for a one of a kind menu you can only find in Huntsville (or its sister restaurant in Athens).

3. Jack Brown’s Beer + Burger Joint

If your visitors are craving burgers, take them to Jack Brown’s downtown. Jack Brown’s is a chain restaurant, but it’s a consistent favorite among our team. Plus, the atmosphere is dark and moody which makes it the perfect place to enjoy a beer and burger.

4. Big Ed’s Pizza

Pizza is always a safe bet when you have company, and you can’t go wrong with Big Ed’s. They’re featured on our list of “Best Places to Eat in Huntsville under $10,” and they’ve served homemade dough and sauce in the Rocket City since 1961.

5. Sunny Street Cafe

Sunny Street Cafe is a little ways down the road in Madison but totally worth the drive. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast and brunch spot in its only Alabama location.
