5 new openings in the Huntsville area this week

Welcome to a new week, Huntsville. We have some amazing new openings this week that you can’t miss including holiday events, a bank and two anticipated restaurants.

1. Winter Park at the Orion Amphitheater

Winter Park at the Orion Amphitheater has opened, and it’s one of Huntsville’s most anticipated holiday events. Open now until January 1, come out to skate under the stars, visit with Santa or take a train ride on the Orion Express.

2. Chase Bank on University Drive

One of Chase Bank’s first Huntsville locations will open this week on University Drive. A second location, also announced this summer, is coming to Madison at 8160 Highway 72.

3. Rocket City Dog Bar

Remember when Salty Nut Brewing closed this summer? Well, we now know what’s taking its place. Rocket City Dog Bar shared on Reddit that the taproom will remain mostly the same as Salty Nut’s. The backyard has been reconverted into a safe space for dogs, and they’re working on converting the warehouse into an on-leash area.

There’s no opening date yet, but stay tuned for updates.

4. Valentina’s Pizzeria

The award-winning Madison pizza restaurant, Valentina’s Pizzeria, will celebrate the grand opening of its new location on Dec. 4. Valentina’s announced in September their plans to move to a bigger location only a minute down the road from their original restaurant.

Their new location is 4,000 square feet of space that will include outdoor seating and an expanded bar area.
