As the weather warms, Huntsville’s summer event scene is heating up, too. Thankfully, you will have plenty of chances to check out all these events, as they’re recurring on a regular basis all summer long.

We’ve rounded up five you don’t want to miss.

1. Cocktails at the View

We give Cocktails at the View a 10/10. 🤩 And, it’s a free event! Catch it on Wednesdays this summer from 5-8PM. #hvilleblast #huntsville #huntsvilleal #huntsvillealabama #alabama #burrittonthemountain #fyp #foryoupage #BBPlayDate #ShowYourJOWO #FORDfortheBuilders

I finally made it out to Cocktails at the View last weekend, and it’s a Huntsville experience you don’t want to miss. It’s free to attend, with a cash bar and small bites available. Grab a drink and a table while you enjoy live music and one of the best views in town—I’m going back with friends next time.

2. Golden Hour at the Huntsville Botanical Garden

This is high on my list for this summer. Every Wednesday evening during the summer months, the Huntsville Botanical Garden hosts Golden Hour. Bring a picnic setup or walk the garden’s 112 acres during the most beautiful time of day, and enjoy music by local artists the whole time. You can find a full lineup of performances online.

3. Food Truck vs. Food Trailer Rallies

Oaxaca Flavors
Huntsville has so many great food trucks and trailers. Oaxaca Flavors is one of many. (Oaxaca Flavors / Facebook)

Take your side in the battle of the food vendors with Huntsville’s Food Truck vs. Food Trailer rallies. You’ll have two opportunities each month to sample some of Huntsville’s finest. On the first Friday of each month, check out Huntsville’s best food trailer offerings. Then, on the third Friday, the food trucks will step up to bat. Who will win you over this year?

4. Lowe Mill Outdoor Market

Lowe Mill’s outdoor market is the perfect opportunity to find something unique and handmade. Local artists will set up each Saturday afternoon this summer with items like jewelry, secondhand items, handmade artwork and more. Interested in selling? You can still apply to be a vendor.

5. Yoga at the Camp

Light On
Head to The Greenroom for coffee after your yoga sesh. (Light on Yoga Fitness / Facebook)

The Camp and Light On Yoga Fitness are teaming up this summer for weekly yoga sessions in MidCity. Sessions are free and designed to be accessible to all ages and all experience levels—what’s not to love? You can get a full schedule of instructors on the Facebook event page.
