The Tennessee Valley has tons of unique places where you can spend a day, especially with spring break coming up.

We’ve created guides before about day trips you can take from Huntsville, but these new suggestions are for those looking for a unique experience they’ve never had before.

1. The Rattlesnake Saloon

The Rattlesnake Saloon in Tuscumbia is one of Alabama’s most visited tourist attractions. The restaurant is under a watering hole, and you’ll have to ride the saloon taxi from the parking lot to get to the bottom.

2. Bama Bucks Wild Game Restaurant

This locally owned exotic animal farm also opperates a wild game restaurant. Their menu includes unique dishes made of gator, elk, bison, quail and more.

3. Unclaimed Baggage

If you’ve ever lost your luggage, it may have ended up here! The business started in 1970 and has continued selling items found in lost luggage ever since.

Their odd museum features some wacky items and precious artifacts that have been discovered over the years.

4. The Yellow Deli

A visit to The Yellow Deli restaurant was a right of passage during my time at UNA. Run by The Twelve Tribes, the group opened their first location in Chattanooga in 1972 and have since expanded across the world. Locations in Japan, Spain and Argentina are just a few on their list.

The Pulaski location just up the road from Huntsville feels like a cozy cabin complete with yummy soups and sandwiches.

5. Killen Time Mini Golf + Adventure Park

This mini golf course and adventure park is right next door to the notable haunted house, Arx Mortis. If mini golf isn’t your thing, they also have gem mining, an animatronic shooting gallery, laser tag and a retro arcade.
