2. Magic City Mimosa Festival

Mimosas anyone? The Magic City Mimosa Festival is back for its third year in a row. In addition to sipping bubbly and OJ, you can enjoy Birmingham’s culinary scene by trying some delicious bites from food vendors.

4.  Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix

The Indy Grand Prix is much more than racing. Birmingham locals fondly refer to it as the city’s ‘biggest party of the year.’ Along with showcasing top-notch food and drink options, the race also raises money for Children’s of Alabama.

Golf, homesteading + wine—May 9-12

We suggest you catch a couple of days at Regions Tradition, enjoy a vino-filled evening at the Wine Fest and finish up your Birmingham trip by learning some homesteading skills.

Similar to the Indy Grand Prix, the Regions Tradition starts with golf but doesn’t end there. Here, you can enjoy great food trucks while spotting some top celebrities like Charles Barkley, Bo Jackson, Greg McElroy and others.

6. Magic City Wine Festival

If you love the finer things in life, The Magic City Wine Fest is right up your alley. Travel through the world as you sip on wines from different countries and regions. The event will also feature food from Birmingham restaurants, and the proceeds will go to Railroad Park.

7. Homestead Hollow Arts + Crafts Festival

If homesteading has become your new hobby (or lifestyle), head over to Springville to shop handmade crafts and see pioneer demonstrations of wood carving, blacksmithing, wood stove cooking, quilting, whiskey making and more.

There will also be delicious food and a fun Children’s Wagon.

8. SEC Baseball Championship at Hoover Met—May 21-26
