Stella’s Elixir Lounge is a cocktail bar built around delicious drinks and a sophisticated interior, making it a great spot for a date night. The beautiful Downtown venue becomes especially visually pleasing once the sun goes down.

✨Retro vibes: Goodbye Horses

Goodbye Horses opened earlier this year, and has been a welcome addition to the Huntsville bar scene ever since. The interior of this bar really hammers home the retro aesthetic. In addition to drinks + food, you can also stop by for some coffee if you’re in the mood.

✨Rooftop vibes: The Observatory

The Observatory is located on the second floor of the AC Hotel in Downtown, Huntsville. It offers stunning views of Big Spring Park, as well as great drinks, food and a calm atmosphere.

✨Music vibes: Perseus Sound Bar

Perseus Sound Bar opened earlier this year and combines a mid-century modern interior with great vinyl music. They offer seasonal menus with delicious food, and of course have some tasty drinks. They also host live vinyl DJs spinning 3 nights a week, so be on the lookout for those!

✨Cigar lounge vibes: Vintage Cigar Lounge

If you’re looking for a place to relax and unwind, you might need to check out the Vintage Cigar Lounge at Bridge Street. You can select from a massive collection of over 3,000 cigars that come from 10 different countries—not to mention a cocktail bar featuring over 500 liquors.

✨Dive bar vibes: Thirsty Turtle

Established in 1990, the Thirsty Turtle has been considered a go-to dive bar for decades by many in the Huntsville community. The bar has a laid-back atmosphere and embraces a “come-as-you-are” attitude. It’s great place to catch a game, play some darts or shoot some pool.

✨Fantasy vibes: Ravenwood Meadery

If you’re looking for something different, you might want to check out Ravenwood Meadery. They specialize in producing mead, which is the world’s oldest alcoholic beverage and was the drink of choice during the Middle Ages. They are the only establishment in Alabama that focuses solely on mead.

✨Brewery vibes: Back Forty Beer Co.
