Alabama A&M’s campus just added a new fun feature, as officials recently opened the newly renovated bowling alley — Bulldog Lanes — with significant upgrades from its original design.
Here’s what to know:
Bulldog Lanes now open

Bulldog Lanes, which originally opened in 2010, has undergone a complete transformation over the last year. It is located in the AAMU Wellness Center, at 122 Chase Rd NW, Huntsville, AL 35811.
The bowling alley now features:
- 6 state-of-the-art QuBica AMF bowling lanes
- Upgraded scoring and pin-setting systems
- New QuBica AMF Edge String pins
- New bowling balls and shoes
- New carpet
- Fresh paint
- AAMU branded seating and ball return racks
The renovation, completed in November 2024, represents a significant investment as part of AAMU’s strategic plan led by the Office of Student Affairs.
It follows earlier updates in 2022, which included cameras, computer systems, and keypad upgrades. Dr. Braque Talley, Vice President for Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of bringing the project to life.
“We really appreciate the collaboration of athletics and student affairs; that’s what we have to do as a community, to come together to support our students. This is an opportunity for our students and for the surrounding community to come together. We look forward to celebrating and enjoying this facility with you.”

Bulldog Lanes is open to students, faculty, staff, gym members, and the general public for rentals and reservations. The new hours of operation are 5PM-9PM (Monday-Friday), 11AM–5PM on Saturdays, and 1PM–6PM on Sundays.
