Huntsville is full of so many interesting events and fun things to do that it’s hard to choose which ones to go to and which to skip.

Here are some recurring events in Rocket City that happen multiple times a month, so if you miss one, no worries, you can always catch the next!

Huntsville Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens has a whole lot of events that you can find every week:

  • Golden Hour
    • Enjoy food, drinks and live music in the Cedar Glade.
    • Every Friday from 5 PM to dusk
  • Global Rythem and Bloom
    • A celebration of cultures from around the world with different themed foods, drinks and live entertainment every week.
    • Every Thursday from 5 PM to dusk
  • Dog Days at the Garden
    • Bring your dogs to the garden every Thursday during normal hours.
  • Meowy Mondays
    • Bring your cat to the garden every Monday during normal hours.

Lowe Mill

Lowe Mill also offers several weekly events at the mill:

  • Concerts on the Dock
    • Watch a new artist every week under the water tower. Bring chairs or a blanket. The concerts are FREE, just pay for parking.
    • Every Friday in May at 6 PM.
  • Outdoor Market
    • Find a great selection of artists, makers, vintage sellers, authors, chefs and more at the mill.
    • Every Saturday from 11 AM- 4 PM.
  • Rocket City Revue
    • See local musicians perform new and original songs.
    • The second and fourth Thursday of each month.

Farmers Markets

Huntsville and the surrounding area is home to a wide selection of farmers markets:

  • The Market at Midcity | Every Sunday from 12-4 PM
  • Madison City Farmers Market | Every Saturday from 8 AM to noon
  • The Providence Market | Every Saturday from 9 AM- 2 PM
  • Bailey Cove Farmers Market | Every Saturday from 8 AM to noon starting in May

$5 after 5 at the Huntsville Museum of Art

Every Thursday at the Huntsville Museum of Art you can get in for only $5 after 5 PM. You’ll find great art, wine and the occasional entertainer.

Fridays at the Farm

Every Friday head over for fun events, vendors and entertainment at the Piper and Leaf farm just outside Huntsville.

Coming this Sumer

Once the summer hits there will be even more recurring events to look forward to. Here’s a couple we know of to get you excited:

  • Concerts in the Park
    • Big Spring Park’s concert series where every weekend you’ll find local and critically acclaimed musicians rocking out by the spring.
  • Food Truck Rallies
    • Visit the bi-monthly gatherings of food trucks which you can enjoy as you walk around downtown Huntsville or Big Spring Park.
