Building permit issued for new Hotel Indigo at MidCity

There were five new building permits issued this week across the state for construction projects exceeding $1 million and one of those was a $15 million permit issued for the new Hotel Indigo at Huntsville’s MidCity District.

Here’s what we know about the new Hotel Indigo at MidCity:

Project Cost: $17.1MM
As-Completed Value: $22.5MM
Keys: 112

Chattanooga-based ViaNova Development and Kentucky-based Buffalo Construction are building the hotel. ViaNova Development was scheduled to break ground on the hotel in 2020 but the pandemic delayed the groundbreaking until December of 2022.
