August 28, if you did not know, is National Red Wine Day. And if you actually needed a reason to drink red wine, Wednesday is the day to do it.
Last year, Americans consumed 899 gallons of red wine — which averages out to 2.7 gallons per person — so celebrating red wine shouldn’t be a foreign concept here in the states.
If you so choose to get in on the celebration, consider these local spots:
