Construction underway for new pedestrian bridges at Palmer Park

Construction began recently on two pedestrian bridges at Palmer Park in Madison, a project that is expected to be completed by this summer.

The pedestrian bridges will reconnect the Bradford Creek Greenway to the eastern soccer complex.

Here’s what to know:

The pedestrian bridge project consists of:

  • Installing two owner-supplied 60-foot Contech pedestrian bridges to include all incidentals and pouring of concrete decks
  • Bridge abutments
  • Concrete and asphalt removal/haul off
  • Installation of new sidewalks
  • Erosion control and site vegetation
