This week 10 new building permits were issued throughout the state for projects exceeding $1 million. Among these new projects, three are located in the Huntsville area, including the new Crestwood Medical Center ER in Harvest.
Here is what we know about these new building permits issued in the Huntsville area:
Crestwood Medical Center ER in Harvest
The priciest of this week’s new building projects in Alabama is the new free-standing emergency room facility from Crestwood Medical Center, which is located at 1337 Burwell Rd in Harvest.
The nearly $10 million project includes an 11,000-square-foot facility equipped to treat patients with illnesses and injuries that require a higher level of care than urgent care facilities offer.
Some highlights of the new ER facility:
- 10 private patient rooms, including a specialized trauma room
- Decontamination/Isolation room
- Helipad
- Lab and blood bank services
- Imaging Services:
- CT Scanner
- Ultrasound
- X-Ray
Doster Construction is the contractor for this project, which is supposed to be completed some time in 2024.
