Café au lait- L’Etoile Patisserie
L’Etoile Patisserie is a terrific French bakery located close to five points.
You’ll find delicious pastries and coffee drinks here including a French classic, Café au lait, which is similar to a latte but with equal parts steamed milk and espresso.
Stop in for a coffee and pastry and take a stroll through some of the shops next door like Holtz Leather or The Preservation Company.

Kape Tayo is a hidden gem in Huntsville.
Located inside University Pickers, Kape Tayo translates to “let’s have coffee” and specializes in Philipino, Thai and Vietnamise coffees.
Our pick is their most popular item the Ube Kape, which is made from Italian espresso, whole milk, half-and-half and ube–a sweet purple yam from the Philippines that has a nutty, vanilla taste and is often used in Filipino dessert recipes.

Next is a trip to Canada. Well not quite but with a name like Canadian Bakin we think it counts.
Canadian Bakin is well known for their bagels and was recently named the best bagel shop in Alabama, but their coffee drinks are nothing to sneeze at.
We recommend the Miel Latte, a honey and cinnamon latte that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
Visit for some great carbs, great drinks and great vibes.

Our only alcoholic drink on the list comes from Huntsville’s own UK-style pub.
Well known for their great ambiance and amazing food (we recommend the fish and chips), Poppy and Parliament make a great Irish Coffee using premium coffee, hand-shaken cream and Jamison.
Upstairs you’ll find a premium butcher shop and import goods store, we recommend taking a look around and maybe trying out something new.
