Huntsville is home to some top-notch local theater groups that put on some amazing productions. This summer, we have several shows to tell you about, happening in and around the Rocket City.

Theatre Huntsville presents ‘Something Rotten! The Musical’

Theatre Huntsville presents this musical featuring two brothers who set out to write the world’s first musical and defeat the Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard” in this mash-up of 16th-century Shakespeare and 21st-century Broadway.

IMP Huntsville presents ‘The Sound of Music’

One would be hard=pressed to fine anyone who doesn’t love “The Sound of Music.” This amazing tale is based on the real life story of the Von Trapp Family singers, one of the world’s best-known concert groups in the era immediately preceding World War II.

Dreamweavers present ‘Cats’

The beloved Andrew Lloyd Webber musical (based off the T.S. Eliot book) is presented by Decatur’s Dream weavers theater groups. Enjoy all of the classic tunes, costumes and spectacular sets of “Cats.”
