22nd Annual Cigar Box Guitar Music Festival

Day 3 of the World’s Longest-Running Cigar Box Guitar Music Festival, Sunday May 31, features free activities on the grounds of The Orion (701 Amphitheater Dr NW, Huntsville, AL 35806) from 2:00-7:00pm. The trio April Mae & The June Bugs will perform all afternoon on traditional and not-so-traditional handcrafted instruments, seamlessly blending rockabilly, jump blues, and viper jazz with infectious energy. Rounding out the day will be kids activities, food trucks and instructor-led jam sessions so bring your cigar box guitar. All activities are free and will be under cover in the event of rain. Stay for the benefit concert at 7pm, featuring Grammy-winner Gary Nichols and the legendary FAME Gang, presented by Whitney Stringer, ReMax Realty. This year’s evening concert will be a “stage-on-stage” event where both the audience and the performers will be on the fully-covered main stage at The Orion.
